News Filter
Presets: Off, All high-impact (default), or tighter FOMC / NFP / CPI combinations. Buyer-set minutes before and after. Optional close-in-profit-before-news switch (default off) — losers are not auto-closed.
FX EA that trades M15 impulse mechanically and lets AI veto weak zone fades — majors, news-aware, built for traders who want logic over black-box spam.
Not an MQL5 Market one-click product. Requires MT5, a local AI confirmation bridge, and your own AI API key.

Multi-symbol FX with a clear split of duties
A MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor for multi-symbol FX with a clear split of duties — not a set-and-forget black box.
Location quality
The EA finds and filters locations using H1 supply/demand context plus M15 rejection and impulse logic.
Local AI confirmation
A local AI confirmation bridge acts as QC on fade-style entries before they fill — your machine, your API key.
Impulse path
A separate impulse path for strong M15 breaks — AI confirmation is off on that path by design.
News-aware pause
Master News Filter via MT5 Economic Calendar can pause new entries around high-impact US releases (NFP, FOMC, CPI/PPI).
Ownership
Halcyon FX is a self-managed Expert Advisor. You install it on your MetaTrader 5, on your VPS or PC, with your risk settings. Nobody else logs into your broker account to trade for you.
That is different from subscription or “we’ll manage your account” services, where a third party can take control of live trading — and if they mismanage it, the losses are still yours. With Halcyon, the EA runs under your supervision only. You can pause it, change Inputs, or remove it whenever you want.
Safer does not mean risk-free. FX can still lose money. It means the keys stay with you — not with an outside manager on a recurring plan.
Three clear steps. No reverse-engineerable entry recipes — just the architecture you need to decide if it fits your desk.
Architecture
Qualify → confirm fades → impulse runs mechanical
One position per symbol. Fade path asks the bridge; impulse path does not. News filter can pause new entries around high-impact US releases.
H1 context plus M15 rejection or impulse logic marks a location worth trading — one position per symbol at a time.
On the fade path, the local bridge is asked for confirmation before fill. Weak zone fades can be vetoed.
Strong M15 breaks take a separate impulse path with AI confirmation off — by design, not as a bug.
News awareness, multi-pair hygiene, and skip logic — automation with explicit guardrails.
Presets: Off, All high-impact (default), or tighter FOMC / NFP / CPI combinations. Buyer-set minutes before and after. Optional close-in-profit-before-news switch (default off) — losers are not auto-closed.
One book across FX majors — EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD, NZDUSD, USDJPY, USDCAD, USDCHF. One position per symbol at a time to keep exposure disciplined.
Leftover and opposing-location skips reduce low-quality re-entries so the book stays selective rather than spammy.
Honest requirements up front. Without the bridge and API, fade confirmation cannot complete as designed.
This is not an MQL5 Market one-click install. Market listings cannot depend on outside AI communication.
Your AI API key is billed by the provider (you, not us). Fade confirms are cheap — our desk's last 30 days were about US$0.91.

Running costs
Halcyon only calls your AI API on the fade confirmation path. The impulse path does not AskAI. You use your own API key and pay the provider directly — not us.
Those confirms are short, so the bill stays very small. On our own running desk the last 30 days came to about US$0.91 — under a dollar for the month. Your figure can be a bit higher or lower depending on how many fade candidates fire and which model you configure.
Public Claude API list prices are charged per million tokens (for example Haiku-class models are on the order of about $1 input / $5 output per million tokens). A fade confirm uses a tiny fraction of that. Always check your provider dashboard for the exact amount.
